To activate a MetaMask wallet, follow these steps:
Install MetaMask:
Go to the MetaMask website and download the browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, or Brave. You can also download the mobile app for iOS or Android.
Create a Wallet:
Open the extension or app and click on "Get Started."
Select "Create a Wallet."
You'll be prompted to create a password. Choose a strong password and confirm it.
Backup Your Seed Phrase:
MetaMask will generate a 12-word seed phrase. Write it down and store it safely—this phrase is crucial for recovering your wallet if you lose access.
Click “Next” and then confirm your seed phrase by selecting the words in the correct order.
Complete Setup:
Once you've confirmed your seed phrase, you’ll be taken to the wallet interface. Your MetaMask wallet is now activated and ready to use.
Add Funds:
To add funds, you can either buy directly through MetaMask using a payment method or transfer cryptocurrency from another wallet.
Connect to DApps:
You can now connect your wallet to decentralized applications (DApps) by clicking on the MetaMask icon and approving the connection.
